Q. How am I legally entitled to be paid for the diagnostic testing?

A. There are two options available.  1st you can hire our doctor as a subcontractor and you bill insurance directly (most popular). This entitles you to reimbursement of both the technical and professional components of the test.  2nd Leasing our doctor and equipment for each test, while overseeing the procedure in your office, entitles you to only the reimbursement for the technical components of the tests (least popular). Significant reduction in revenue compared to 1st option.

Q. Do I need to be present when testing is in progress?
A. No. Due to the fact that testing is performed by a doctor that is board certified you do not have to be present while the testing is conducted.

Q. How long will it take for the treating physician to receive the testing results?
A. Our goal is to provide the treating doctor the interpretation within 48 hours from the date of the exam.

Q. What insurance covers diagnostic testing?

A. All PPOs, Medicare, worker’s compensation, PIP and solid PI cases on a lien.

Q. What is the average turnaround time for reimbursements?

A. Insurance companies vary, but on the average, it ranges from 4-6 weeks.

Q. Do the reimbursements vary for different health care professionals?
A. NO, there is a preset reimbursement allowance for Neurodiagnostics by each respective insurance carrier, and it is consistent for all ordering physicians or primary health care providers (MD, DC, DO, DPM).

Q. Does insurance coverage for diagnostic testing need to be verified?

A. Yes, certain insurance plans require preauthorization of coverage.

Q. Will this take away from my treatment allowances with insurance companies?
A. NO, insurance companies list diagnostics under a separate allowance format, which does not interfere with the allocated treatment coverages.

Q. Will testing interfere with my regular office hours?
A. No, not at all. Our only request is that a room be made available for us to test the patient. The room must have an electrical outlet and a patient examining table.

Q. How long does it take to perform diagnostic testing?

A. The length of time it takes depends on which test are performed. Typical length of time is between 15 minutes to 1 ½ hours.

Q. Do I need additional malpractice insurance for these tests?

A. No, our clinicians are fully insured. (1,000,000/3,000,000)

Q. How should the patient prepare for the test?
A. The patient must bathe or shower on the day of the test. Body oils, lotions, and creams should not be applied on the day of testing as they will interfere with the test results. Wear loose, comfortable clothing and avoid tight clothing such as jeans. Furthermore, the patient should not consume any aspirin, ibuprofen or products which contain them for a minimum of 48 hours prior to the testing appointment. Patients should advise the doctor performing the tests as to what medication the patient has taken and when last consumed.
